I joined Aytek Çetin’s photography tour in Saudi Arabia this February. I have participated in many photography tours over the years, but I can honestly say this was the best one I have ever experienced. From the first day we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and given a clear and detailed introduction to the itinerary, photographic goals, equipment suggestions, and expectations. This helped me feel fully prepared for the days ahead. Every day was well organized and carefully planned. At each location, Aytek guided us in choosing the best vantage points, composing our images, and selecting appropriate camera settings while paying close attention to the direction and quality of light. He was also incredibly patient in answering questions, always willing to explain techniques in detail. During these ten days, we were able to capture many of the scenes we had admired on Aytek’s website and gallery, which was truly rewarding. I especially appreciated his attention to light and timing — several of my favorite images from the trip would not have been possible without his guidance. I would also like to mention the excellent logistics. The accommodations were comfortable and clean, and the vehicle was spacious and comfortable. Aytek is also a skilled and reliable driver, which made us feel safe and relaxed even in remote areas. Overall, this was an outstanding photography experience. I highly recommend his photo tours.

I’ve done multiple tours with Aytek, including a private one, and I’d strongly recommend him to anyone serious about improving their photography. What sets him apart starts well before the trip. The locations he selects aren’t random “pretty spots” they’re carefully scouted for consistently strong images. He also provides clear, practical guidance ahead of time so you show up prepared. On location, he’s fully engaged. If you want hands-on input, he’ll work with you directly on composition and feedback. What really elevates the experience, though, are the critique and editing sessions. They’re not superficial, they’re direct, actionable, and have materially improved how I shoot and process images. Where he really differentiates himself is in the follow-through. After the trip, you can send him your edited work and get thoughtful, high-quality feedback. I have found this feedback genuinely valuable. Just as important, he’s straightforward, easy to work with, and has a great sense of humor.

Another great experience in joining Aytek’s trip in Saudi Arabia after his Cappadocia workshop in 2023 with my wife. The itinerary design fits well for capturing amazing moments of sunrises and sunsets. Aytek is such a great master of landscape compositions that he always finds us the best spots at the best time. His flexibility in the trip arrangements gives us lots of opportunities to shoot both day and night. Though we may be a bit exhausted after the busy schedule, we are happy to bring home with great memories and , most importantly, jaw dropping photos. With his enthusiasm in photography and his pleasant personality, we will certainly be joining more of his workshops in near future.

I’ve attended two workshops with Aytek so far, and I must say that every time I return home, I have a treasure of fantastic photos. But what truly sets him apart is the genuine enjoyment I derive from the experience. What I particularly appreciate is his constant pursuit of unique compositions and the best possible shots. He not only shares and explains these techniques but also takes me to breathtaking locations. As a professional photographer, I feel incredibly fortunate to have him as my guide. He not only introduces me to exceptional locations but also shares his expertise in both photography and the local area. In this regard, Aytek stands out as truly exceptional. However, what I admire most about him is his honesty and kindness. Every workshop with him leaves me yearning to join him again as soon as he announces a new one.

I highly recommend Aytek Cetin and his workshops. I just completed my first workshop with him (Saudi Arabia) and will join him for future workshops. For the week I worked and traveled with Aytek, I found him consistently engaged with all of the workshop participants, actively looking to help and support them with compositional advice, help with settings (especially in difficult wide angle focus stacked compositions), and consistently offering feedback. He was incredibly generous with his offering tutorials from prior workshops. I also appreciated that he had actively pre-scouted the areas we visited, knew where to find areas with strong composition opportunities and the best times of the day to visit. Finally, I’ll add that it was great to meet a person with strong “street-cred” as a photographer who actively took time with each of the workshop participants. It’s to his credit that three of the participants at this workshop also offer their own photography workshops, but took one of Aytek’s workshops. Although I was a first time participant, most everyone else was a repeat client.

I just returned from a weeklong workshop in Saudi Arabia with Aytek. It was my first trip with him, but it definitely won’t be my last. Saudi’s unique landscapes combined with Aytek’s creative eye, boundless enthusiasm, and terrific instruction put this trip among my top photographic experiences ever. Unforgettable is the only word for the superlative locations Aytek scouted in preparation for this workshop. Each site was visually dramatic, and could easily be the subject of many varied compositions. Aytek was a master at discovering and pointing out tiny compositional elements among those scenes that contributed so much to building striking images. Some of his in-the-field shooting techniques were new to me (no tripod!) and thanks to his patient instruction I plan to make them part of my own repertoire going forward. He also did a fantastic job with the logistics-good accommodations as near our locations as would be reasonably possible, and some super restaurants (Saudi food was excellent!). As if all that weren’t enough, Aytek is a great guy, an excellent guide, and a patient teacher who will give as much (or as little) help as you like. Thanks to Aytek, I know my own photography grew plenty on this trip. Can’t wait for the next one.

I have now had two trips with Aytek which were both incredibly good photo trips. My last one was a private photo trip to Saudi Arabia which was dramatic and an inspiration in terms of the locations and the photo opportunities that Aytek found. The trip was very carefully curated but we found many spontaneous new spots. The accommodation was very comfortable. He helped me enormously with landscape composition, was great company and very interesting. I have already booked my next trip.

I would highly recommend Aytek’s tours. He is a very knowledgeable and hard working guide who cares about his clients getting the most out of the workshops (not always my experience on other tours). It is clear that has spent a long time researching the locations and this really helps when you get there to get the most of the locations. In Saudi is not a case of the arriving and placing your tripod and shooting, the locations need to be explored and I am very grateful that Aytek spent the time showing me to get the maximum out of these locations. I learnt a lot from Aytek and enjoyed his company. I would happily join one of his tours again and recommend them to others.

I just returned from a photo tour with Aytek in Saudi Arabia and i have to say it was a blast. The landscapes you will experience during the tour are something incredible and it does take some time to comprehend the scenes you are witnessing with your eyes. I have to also give a thumbs up to the wonderful places we stayed during the tour. Although Saudi turism is just on the inception stages in the areas where we stayed the conditions and food were great. Aytek was a great tour leader patiently showing participants very interesting compositions and i have to say it was a blast having a passionate guide and also talking with him about all sorts of subjects besides photography. Can’t wait for the next trip together basking on the wonders and the beauty of good old planet Earth 😊

I recently attended Aytek’s workshop, and it was an unforgettable experience! The entire workshop was perfectly organized, thanks to his deep knowledge of the location, which allowed us to capture some truly stunning shots. Every detail was thoughtfully planned, making the experience smooth, inspiring, and incredibly rewarding. Beyond the technical expertise, the atmosphere was fantastic, I had an amazing time, learned so much, and connected with like-minded photographers. I traveled with Aytek on his Saudi Arabian workshop in early February - I don’t normally participate in workshops, but the landscapes of Saudi Arabia are a great unknown to much of the Western World, and Aytek’s work there was inspiring and fresh, so he seemed to be the perfect guide for the trip. His group size is small, which was key for me; to allow for flexibility and keep the group nimble. We were able to access a number of great locations that Aytek had extensively pre scouted. While on site he was always at hand to help anyone in need and to teach them how to find and capture great compositions. One of the days offered some Photoshop instruction which was quite in depth; and recorded for the group to use as future reference. I’d highly recommend Aytek to anyone considering a workshop of unique locales and under the guidance of a modern day master.
